This Layout Guide is an official guide as to how a CogLing article should be structured.

Main articleEdit

  • The main topic of the article should be mentioned as early as possible in the article in boldface.
  • The main article may be divided into sections and subsections if necessary. If divided into sections and subsections, it should contain:
    • An introduction with no header. The main topic of the article should me mentioned in the introduction.
    • The remainder of the main article. Explains, elaborates and describes the main topic of the article. It may contain any reasonable number of headers.

BibliographyEdit

  • Bibliography in the form of a bulleted list. See here for more information.
  • The bibliography should be in alphabetical order in accordance with the (first) author's surname.

  • Bulleted list of links to other articles in CogLing that might be relevant.
  • The list should be in alphabetical order.
  • Optional

  • Bulleted list of links to other websites that might be relevant.
  • The list should be in alphabetical order.
  • Optional

CategoryEdit

  • The article should be appropriately categorized
  • An article may be multiply categorized
  • Categories should be listed in alphabetical order
  • People should be categorized by their last name
